Orange Ginger Banana Smoothie







Ingredients (1 serving): 


  • 1 orange
  • 1 banana
  • 1/2 inch fresh ginger, peeled





First and foremost, find your 'happy'! Here's a song that will get you in a summer mood :) 



  1. Put the ginger and the banana in a food processor, and mix until you have a paste consistency. 
  2. Now add the orange, and pulse. 
  3. If you find it too thick, add some ice, or 1/2 cup cold water.
  4. DONE. 



This is the perfect smoothie to get you out of the winter blues, and give you a boost of vitamins. Ginger root is full of natural anti-inflammatories, so its good for your heart. It calms your stomach (in small doses), soothes your achy throat, and has also been proven to lower cholesterol. Oranges are low in calories, contain no saturated fats or cholesterol, but are rich in dietary fiber. They are also an excellent source of Vitamin C, and a very good source of B-complex vitamins. Bananas replenish energy and revitalize your body instantly. They provide adequate levels of minerals like copper, magnesium, and manganese.
